Seattle DUI Lawyers
It would be an understatement to say that Seattle DUI Defense Lawyer Linda M. Callahan is one of the top lawyers in the state. In 2006, Ms. Callahan was voted “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by a panel of her peers.
Ms. Callahan graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with honors (Summa Cum Laude) in 1992. During her time at the university, she was president of the Delta Mu Honor Society and a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Ms. Callahan was honored as the Harry S. Truman Scholar for Hawaii in 1990.
Ms. Callahan then went to the University of Notre Dame Law School, where she received her Juris Doctor with honors (Cum Laude) in 1996. Ms. Callahan stood out at the university as the Production Editor for the Journal of Law, Ethics and Public Policy. As a result of her excellence in academics, she made the Dean’s Honor List.
Ms. Callahan is passionate about DUI defense law. She consistently goes above and beyond in learning about the technology used in DUI cases to benefit her clients.
Taking her DUI defense education to the next level, Ms. Callahan became one of a few attorneys in the state who has learned the science and mechanics of breath testing from the DataMaster manufacturer, National Patent Analytical Systems (NPAS). NPAS manufactures all of the breath test machines for Washington. Ms. Callahan owns her own DataMaster and uses it to conduct experiments for her clients. She was also certified by the NHTSA to administer Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.
Ms. Callahan is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a founding member of the Washington Alliance of DUI Trial Lawyers. She has argued before every level of court in Washington, and is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Callahan, along with her colleague Ted Vosk, has authored a constitutional challenge to the DUI law that resulted in widespread suspension of breath tests for two years.
Ms. Callahan’s work has been published in the DWI Journal of Law & Science. She has also written DUI Book, Washington Edition DUI Book, Washington Edition, a book for people without a law degree.
In addition to defending her own clients, Ms. Callahan also teaches other attorneys how to defend DUI cases.
